Welcome to the RTBU's Health and Safety website.  This site is designed to make your job easier by providing up to date resources and links to relevant web resources.  This site is designed to be relevant for RTBU members, workplace activists, workplace health & safety representatives and  Committee members.

This section of the RTBU website provides access to a variety of resources that assist in making your workplace safer.  The site provides access to:

  • Web resources: access to relevant websites and materials such as WorkCover NSW, UnionSafe and access to relevant legislation.
  • RTBU Resources: such as our recently developed resource kit, Safety Matters: A Guide for Workplace Representatives which was sponsored by WorkCover NSW and provides union delegates, WHS representatives and RTBU activists with the knowledge, skills and practical resources to use WHS, Workers Compensation and consultation procedures more effectively in the workplace.
  • Industry News: which provides regular news updates, legislation and other material relating to health and safety issues in the Rail, Bus and Tram industries.
